Indie car crash tragedy
I awoke this morning to the terrible news that the world of racing had lost a real indiecar star. His name is Dan Weldon and was killed while doing the job he loved.
The 33 year old was only 1 of 15 other drivers involved in the crash, however was the only driver tio lose his life. the accident happened once two cars ollided on the secone turn and took off, thus causin a knock -on effect to drivers behind. The cars involved were travelling at speeds of upto 200 MPH.
Lewis Hamilton, the F1 driver said "This is a tragic loss at such a young age." and also added ""He was an extremely talented driver. As a British guy, who not only
went over to the States but who twice won the Indy 500, he was an
inspirational guy and someone that every racing driver looked up to with
respect and admiration."
I am not that inerested in formula 1 racing too much but i do think its sad when any earning an honest living as to lose their life so young. Indie car racing is a dangerous sport which consists of an oval shaped track and some racing cars. think formula 1 meets nascar. It is a tragic loss of a driver that was well respected within the racing community

Hilsborough discovery
In keeping with the theme of tragedies it was uncovered this week that there were documentsdisclosed from the public eye, there have been several plees from the families of the crushing and others who experienced it to see all the documents published. MS are debating the release as I write this.Although the government has said it is committed to full public disclosure i dont really believe it seeing as ithas taken them so long to release all the information.
For those of you who dont know the hillsborough incident was the crushing of 95 supporters during a game in which liverpool were playing sheffield wednesday, the crush developed in the leppings lane end of the stadium, injurig predominantly liverpool F.C fans. After the incident the fans were initially blamed for starting the crush, however an inquiry under Lord Justice Taylor focussed more on the design of the football ground and the actions of the police.

The 100 year old marathon man
Onto more uplifting news now and it has been reported that an american ex-pat has completed the toronto waterfront marathon in 8 hours 25 minutes and 16 seconds.Mr Singh said that he puts his achievement down to eating ginger curry, tea and having a positive out look on life as much as possible. On the last corner he remembered saying " completing this will be like geting marred all over again."
Mr Singh had completed the same toronto marathon in 2003 to make him the record holder in the over 90's group and now has most likely goe on to break other records.
